Big Rock Park Louisville Kentucky
Hidden in Louisville within Cherokee Park, you will find Big Rock Park. This park was designed in 1891 by Frederick Law Olmsted, an American landscape architect, who was best known for designing Central Park in New York City.
Big Rock Park is named after the large limestone in the Beargrass Creek. This Louisville gem is a beautiful location to picnic, ride bikes, hike, or hang out in the creek. The rolling hills of the countryside, open meadow fields and the woodlands feature a 2.4 scenic loop perfect for exploring.
It’s also the location where Abby and Phillip decided to have their engagement photos taken by us at Green Apple Photography. We are honored to share their love story!
