Big Rock Park Engagement Session | Erin & Cameron

October 13, 2022

Big Rock Park, Louisville KY

Big Rock Park in Louisville, KY is a favorite around here at Green Apple Photography. Within Cherokee Park you’ll find Big Rock Park nestled along the Beargrass Creek. A beautiful and relaxing park designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, an American Landscape Architect, who most famously designed Central Park in NYC.

Here you can follow the scenic 2.4 mile trail down to find the rock in which the park was named for. This giant rock was dislodged from the steep cliff making it the namesake for this popular park many years ago.

While you can find quite a few Olmsted designed parks here in Louisville, Big Rock Park in the fall is truly a delight. You’ll agree once you see Erin and Cameron’s engagement photos that this is a spot not to be missed. We think their pictures are absolutely beautiful, immediately transporting you to a crisp fall day, and portray their sweet loving relationship. Even their dog Paisley was excited!

At Green Apple Photography, getting to know our couples is so important to us. We asked Erin and Cameron some questions that we could share with you today. Enjoy reading through their own words their story of how they met, fell in love and decided to spend forever together.

Tell me a bit about how you fell in love?

We both fell in love quickly, one night we were lying in bed listening to Ben Howard (Cameron’s favorite artist) and even though it sounds cliché I felt like I was floating on air, and we just talked and laughed all night. Cameron says he fell in love that same night.

How did your fiancé propose?

Cameron hired a photographer at Anakeesta in Gatlinburg. He tried to trick me by saying we’d get our picture taken at the top of the mountain. We never take pictures and that’s when I knew he was proposing.
