Naimoli Estate, Hopkinsville Kentucky
Naimoli Estate is a sweet multi-purpose venue in the gorgeous Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Couples love the rolling country landscape as well as the rustic and sophisticated ambiance.
Naimoli Estate is a Winery, Venue, and place to stay, all in one.
Weddings at this facility can enjoy overnight lodging in their bed and breakfast, with special suites for the bride and groom.
Within the Naimoli Estate property, you can choose between 3 different event spaces to host your wedding, The Barn, The Mansion or The Jaxon Banquet Hall.
You may be thinking The Barn sounds like the least exciting space, but wait until you see it!
The exposed wood ceilings as you would expect from a barn are of course gorgeous, but then mix in sparkling glass chandeliers and twinkly lights and you have the perfect mix of cozy and beautiful.
And Naimoli Estate also offers a few excellent choices for your ceremony, too!
This means you can spend the whole day in one location, making wedding planning a little easier for everyone.
The outdoor gazebos at Naimoli Estate are nestled in the trees and the perfect backdrop for all your “I Do” photos.
Ashley and Jesse made the right choice for their Hopkinsville wedding and we think their pictures are stunning!
You can really feel the love between them and to give us more insight into their special day, Green Apple Photography asked them to share more about their relationship.
See what they had to say below!
How did you meet?:
We met in Ms. Fox’s 7th-grade social studies class.
When/where did you go on your first date?
We were the best of friends for a while before we started dating.
Our first “date” with just the two of us was when we finally got our learning permits and we could drive by ourselves.
We went to town to have dinner at a steakhouse and watched a movie.
Tell me a bit about how you fell in love?
It wasn’t love at first sight. We started out as good friends and the relationship eventually evolved into more.
It’s hard to pinpoint the exact moment I fell in love with him. I kind of always knew, I guess from the beginning that he was meant for me since he was always able to keep me smiling and laughing.
We’ve had to go through a lot of difficult situations in the earlier years of our relationship that couples typically don’t deal with until much later in life.
When my dad got sick in 2014, right after I moved to KY so we wouldn’t be long-distance anymore, I knew he was going to be the person for me forever.
He dropped everything so we could drive down to Duke University Hospital that night I found out about my dad being airlifted there.
How did your spouse propose?
So, we enjoy spending our weekends in the colder months outside hiking or exploring different areas with our dogs. He had planned a trip to Cumberland Falls and I figured it was just because his brother Joel was visiting, and he wanted to show him this nice waterfall we had found.
We packed the car with us, Joel, and our dog Mya and had a nice walk/hike down to the waterfall. I was completely unsuspecting that Jesse and Joel actually had planned the whole thing.
He proposed on the “beach” at the base of the waterfall, away from all the other people.
That part was key, as I am not one to want to draw attention to myself.
Where/when did your spouse propose?
He proposed on October 3rd, 2020, at Cumberland Falls.
If your love story was a movie what would you title it?
Comfort Food
Describe your relationship in 5 words?
Humorous, wholesome, affectionate, cheerful, and comfortable
What is something that means the most to both of you?
Mya, our dog.
What was the most anticipated part of your wedding day for you both?
The actual wedding, it had been 12.5 years.
Did anything unexpected happen? What was the outcome?
Yeah, got food poisoning from the rehearsal dinner pizza. It was not a great night and a rough day of. I am really upset I didn’t get to enjoy the day and the food like I was supposed to.
Were you nervous? How did you squash those nerves?
I was nervous during the entire planning phase so much so that I tried to create things in a way to not draw much attention to myself.
This included doing the first look, having both of us walk down together to the alter, having our first dance include the other couples, and including our dog.
I have very bad social anxiety so I wanted the least amount of attention I could on our wedding day. Kind of impossible being that it was a day literally about us but I guess not feeling great kind of overpowered the nerves.
What song did you walk down the aisle to?
Hunger by Ross Copperman
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
Getting to share the last name of my travel buddy.
What was your wedding inspiration?
I just viewed a lot of Pinterest.
What’s your wedding song and the significance?
When I Look At You by Miley Cyrus from The Last Song. It’s just one of Ashley’s absolute favorites from her and she is Ashley’s favorite artist.
What song did you dance to for your parent dances and why?
Best Day by Taylor Swift / Jesse picked it.
What advice do you have for anyone getting married?
Give yourself more than enough time to plan, create spreadsheets and start working on things as soon as you have your date and venue secured.
I joined a lot of wedding groups on Facebook, and I noticed a trend of people procrastinating things until the last minute, and then they are left stressing.
I got all my decorations, invites, programs, gifts, etc. done with 2 months to go because I didn’t want to leave anything to become a stressor closer to the day.
I had pre-booked all my appointments well in advance so that I literally had nothing to worry about on my end.
Near the end, like 2 weeks out, I was only stressing about the other people because they procrastinated and were asking me a ton of questions all of which were answered on the website I meticulously completed.
At the end of everything, you’ll be married to your person and nothing else matters.
How did you feel at the end of the day?
Exhausted.
