Over the Rhine Engagement Session Cincinnati Ohio
Today at Green Apple Photography we are thrilled to be sharing Kate and Jeff’s photos from their engagement session!
You probably have heard of Over the Rhine in Cincinnati, even if you’ve never had a chance to visit.
This neighborhood was established in the nineteenth century during a period of heavy German immigration.
During this time, many of the immigrants would walk across bridges over the Miami and Erie Canal to work.
They started to refer to this canal as the Rhine in reference to the Rhine River in Germany.
The area in which they resided began to be known as Over the Rhine, now also OTR for short, a name which has stuck throughout the years.
Today the well-preserved 19th century buildings line the streets and are home to breweries, bars, and local shops.
This neighborhood has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is easily accessible by foot.
When you visit check out the Findlay Market, Ohio’s oldest continuously running public market.
The market is open year round and each weekend you can visit the farmers market, with outdoor vendors, street performers and special events, you don’t want to miss this!
After you’re done filling up on delicious food, head over to the Cincinnati Music Hall, the backdrop of some of Kate and Jeff’s photos, at Washington Park to catch some live music out on the lawn and relax.
Something for everyone, we know if our words didn’t convince you that Kate and Jeff’s engagement photos will.
