La Bodeguita de Mima brings Cuban flair to NuLu. This cozy spot specializes in authentic Cuban sandwiches, roasted pork and sangria. They have a private dining room perfect for rehearsal dinners, and the team can plan custom menus and drinks. The atmosphere is warm and nostalgic, with wood-paneled walls and Cuban art. West Sixth NuLu Brewery (817 E Market St)

A local craft brewery, West Sixth’s NuLu location offers a spacious Lounge and Marketplace Hall that can be rented together or separately. Between them they easily host 100+ guests (100 standing, 50 seated for one area). They serve their in-house craft beers on tap, plus ciders and a full bar. The vibe is laid-back and industrial, with communal tables and a friendly staff. West Sixth provides tables and chairs (no rental fee) and welcomes outside caterers. Garage Bar (700 E Market St)

Garage Bar is a casual NuLu spot in a converted auto shop. They make wood-fired pizzas and sandwiches, alongside an extensive craft beer and bourbon selection. The industrial décor (even featuring a slow-moving car-crunching sculpture outside) keeps it fun. They can do events from small private gatherings to large buyouts. Flanagan’s Ale House (934 Baxter Ave)

Just a few blocks southwest of downtown, this Irish pub can host events in a fun, unpretentious setting. Flanagan’s specializes in pub fare (burgers, fish & chips) and has dozens of beers on tap. The vibe is lively and welcoming, with a dog-friendly patio. Flanagan’s will arrange group orders or an event menu. The capacity is moderate (about 50 indoors), so it’s best for smaller rehearsal dinners. Parking around Baxter Ave is free street parking.

Against the Grain Public House (401 E Main St)

Against the Grain is Louisville’s oldest brewpub, located in a historic brick building connected to Slugger Field. They serve comfort fare (pretzels, burgers, stews) and their own craft beers.
