St James Court Louisville Kentucky
Less than 10 minutes from downtown Louisville, KY, you’ll find St James Court. A charming court area lined with historic brick houses, lush green common spaces, and in the center of it all, a gorgeous flowing fountain.
Many people may not know that this fountain is the second one to exist in this space, the original — a cast iron fountain, was recast and replaced by the Fine Arts Sculpture Center in Michigan in 1974. The original was placed in 1892 for the Southern Exposition World’s Fair. The fencing that surrounds the fountain today is the original railing from the box seats at the old Strand Theater in downtown Louisville.
Often people will say walking through St James Court is like taking a trip back through time. It’s possibly this sentiment that contributes to the lasting memories our couples have after having their engagement photos here.
We at Green Apple Photography adore the moments we capture of our couples, and Caitlin and Charles are no exception. We think this location beautifully suits them and we think after seeing the photos, you’ll agree.
