The Olmsted Wedding in Louisville

The Olmsted Louisville KY

The epitome of elegance is The Olmsted in St Matthews, Louisville KY.  However, the love story of Kess and Matthew made their The Olmsted wedding that much more romantic.

Their Backstory:

Kess actually friend zoned Matthew for FOUR YEARS before they started dating.  But he was determined to figure out how to make her his.

He even told his Best Man the day he met Kess that, “I’m going to marry her.”

His best man laughed and went on his way.

As Kess got to know Matthew more and more, she found his kind heart and sweet demeanor undeniable.  When they went on their first date, it was over.

By the time that Matthew proposed, they were madly in love with one another, having found their true forever.

The Big Day:

Kess and Matt got ready at different locations on the big day: Kessandra and her bridesmaids were pampered by Southern Bridal Styles at the Garden Hilton St Matthews, while Matthew enjoyed a morning at home before traveling to the Olmsted to prepare.

As Kessandra read her letter to Matthew the entire room fell silent, tears streaming from each person’s face.

The authenticity and love she poured into those words were stunning and meaningful.

When Kess put on her David’s Bridal dress, complete with pockets, her sister couldn’t help but squeal with delight.

Arriving to the Olmsted, Kess met Matthew at the bottom of their iconic stairs.

Elegant, timeless photos are effortless in a location like The Olmsted and having such an in-love couple never hurts.

Matthew immediately burst into tears when he saw his bride, the culmination of six years of courting all wrapped up in one moment.

As they hugged together, they both cried tears of joy.

Bride and Groom portraits followed producing laughter, smiles, and more happy tears.

The bridal party was happy to admire Kess’ upgraded Genesis Diamonds ring; a result of the damper COVID had placed on their wedding.

Before Kess walked down the aisle, she held tight to her father, her joy nearly exploding within the hall of the Olmsted.

Matthew wiped tears away as his bride approached him.

Their personalized vows made the crowd tear up.

I can honestly say I have never believed a couple was more made for each other than after listening to them speak on what they promised the other at the altar of the Olmsted.

After taking family photos, they sat down with their 30 guests to enjoy a meal of chicken and brisket catered by Masteron’s.

Traveling around to each table, the laughter and joy they share was evident, their friends consistently commenting on how made for one another they were.

The sentiment carried through to the cake cutting and toasts as the bride’s sister brought the room to tears yet again and the Best Man made everyone laugh until their bellies hurt.

Underlying it all; Kess and Matthew’s care and love for each other.

Their first dance played by JM Entertainment spoke to the time it had taken them to get together.

We snuck away with Zaepfel & Conder Productions to enjoy the golden hour.

Upon our return, dancing and joy permeated the remainder of the night.

It’s been a long time coming, but as they say though, anything worth it is worth waiting for.

We are thrilled to call Kessandra and Matthew part of the Green Apple Weddings family and could not be happier for them.
