The History of the Sporting Club at the Farm
The Sporting Club at the Farm, located just five minutes from New Albany, Indiana, spans 740 acres of diverse terrain featuring river bottoms, lakes, and hills. Established by Bobby Brooks III and Jack G. Koetter in June 2020, the farm has been a family property since 1939. Bobby’s passion for sporting clays, sparked by a chance meeting with shooting legend Bill McGuire, led to the development of the club. The club’s amenities include event spaces, fire pits, and scenic views over ponds and hills. The Sporting Club also offers coaching sessions with top shooters, youth programming, and a variety of membership options. The property includes miles of outdoor trails, archery ranges, fishing lakes, and hunting opportunities. With its picturesque setting and renovated facilities, The Sporting Club at the Farm is a premier destination for sporting enthusiasts. Spaces & Pricing at the Sporting Club at the Farm
The Farm’s Event Barn – $7,500
Starting with the biggest event space the farm has to offer, the event barn can seat 400+ guests. The space is large enough to hold all of your loved ones, food/buffet, bar, and even a dancefloor. This gorgeous space has sliding barn doors to let the sunshine, or, the evening breeze in! This rental price includes your choice of ceremony location (anywhere on the property), a one hour rehearsal, reception, all day use of the bridal and groom suite, seating for up to 200 guests, 5ft wooden bar, 10 bourbon barrels, unlimited parking, and one designated event person onsite for the entire event.
The Farm’s Hay Barn – $3,950
Imagine walking into a large open space with beautiful exposed wooden beams, an expansive floor plan, and even a real open hay loft. This is a short description of the beauty that the farms Hay Barn has to offer. The Hay Barn is perfect for a smaller guestlist as it can hold around 125 people. This rental price also includes your choice of ceremony location (anywhere on the property), a one hour rehearsal, reception, all day use of the bridal and groom suite, seating for up to 200 guests, 5ft wooden bar, 10 bourbon barrels, unlimited parking, and one designated event person onsite for the entire event.
The Farm’s Historic Home
The historic home, which was built in 1868, is included in the price of both rental packages. The home has enough spacious room for the entire wedding party to get ready! The top floor is reserved for the bridal party. There are multiple getting ready stations equipped with lighted mirrors, lounge furniture, and a spot for everyone to hang their attire up. The bottom floor is designated for the groom and his groomsmen. It is equipped with a large lounge area, a bar, and even a TV. The entire wedding party also has access to the outdoor patio for a serene setting before the big day.

How do I schedule a tour?
Simply email The Farm, events@thefarmsc.com, and make the subject “Wedding Tour”!
How do I see if my desired date is still available?

How much money is due upon signing the rental contract?
25% of your estimated rental cost is due upon signing the contract. If you plan to pay with a credit card, the site states there will be an additional 3% charge.
Can I rent additional tables and chairs?
Yes, however, The Farm simply asks that you request additions 60 days in advance. It is an additional $75 for each table setting (one table setting consists of 8 chairs, a table, and a linen).
Do I need to have a wedding planner?
No, it is not required. The venues website states that “A professional wedding planner can be a huge help with the design, planning and coordination of your wedding. We strongly recommend a wedding planner If you have a budget for those services..”
Are there any decor restrictions at the venue?
“Installation of Command Hooks, tape, staples, nails, screws, or other fasteners are not allowed on any walls in the barns. Real flame candles must be enclosed in a glass container and located a safe distance from flammable materials. No confetti or glitter is allowed on the property. You may use real petals to decorate the aisle only for a ceremony (if inside they must be light colored so as not to stain the floor). No faux or silk petals allowed outside.”
Is there a preferred vendor list?
The website states that “A preferred vendor list can be provided once you are booked with The Farm. You are free to use whoever you would like on or off our list. We require that all vendors provide The Farm with a Certificate of Insurance prior to the wedding date.”
Is alcohol allowed on the premises?
“The Farm cannot provide alcohol as we do not have a liquor license. You are able to bring in your own alcohol. Any and all alcohol that is served must be served by an approved Insured licensed bartender.”
If I have my ceremony at a church or somewhere off-site, does it change my rental price?
The website states “It does not. Because we only rent to one wedding per day the price stays the same and your wedding party Is welcome to use our property during that rental day.”
When do you have access to the venue?
“If there are no events scheduled the day before your wedding, your team is welcome to be onsite for decorating when we open. Otherwise, decorating can begin at 8:30am on the event date.”
Who is in charge of cleaning up?
The Farm states that “You will not be in charge of sweeping, mopping, or breaking down The Farm’s tables or chairs.” However, all other decorations that are brought in for your wedding are your responsibility.
